Michigan Tech has three unions. Each union`s contract sets conditions of employment such as wages, hours and working conditions. They create the bargaining machine for collective agreements and promote orderly and peaceful working relationships between the university and its collaborators. The University of Michigan Technologically does not discriminate on the basis of sex and gender, either in its employment practices, in its educational programs, or in its activities. Michigan Tech also prohibits retaliation against individuals who oppose discrimination or participate in discrimination investigations or internal or external redress procedures.
